9A – Reach New Heights
Shark&Co approached A3D with the task of creating and animating an entire mountain range with trails and graphic elements explaining the services the client – 9A – provides. With a very elaborate storyboard and references in hand and only 4 weeks to create what turned out to be a 6m 19s film we set out in full force.
First task was creating the 3D mountains with the trails and all with the general shape of the existing brand elements. Once the general shape of the landscape and flow of the trails was approved it was time to add LOTS of details and create three different landscape types based on the same general 3D scene. Lots of Megascans was used as well as all the tricks in the books regarding 2,5D workflow in After Effects, exchanging camera data from Cinema 4D to After Effects etc.
On top of this, the animation should be able to loop indefinitely so it could run uninterrupted during the entire trade fair.
This was a monumental task given the tight deadline, but it was a very exciting project to be involved in and we are definitely ready for more – thanks to 9A and Shark&Co for trusting us with this project!
